Colores de Mexico

Hola!

My first weekend here in gigantesque Mexico City was very relaxing and colourful. Walking around the streets of Mexico City gives you an idea of how important street life is. There are so many foodstalls and little stores, all with their own flavours and scents (not always good ones!). Stalls with fruits and vegetables I’ve never seen in my life carrying names like ‘mamey’ and ‘anona’, stalls with tacos, gorditas, potatoes, chorizo and so much more…
So for me, the biggest difference so far are the many colours, sounds and odours in the streets. It’s all very fascinating and fun to look at, because in Belgium, well…let’s be honest, everything is rather grey and uniform. It kinda reminds me of China somehow, but a China with a more southern atmosphere playing salsa music in the background.Walking around in Mexico City is a pleasure for the eyes and an adventure for the tastebuds πŸ™‚

  2. The car looks very appropriated for the traffic in Mex’city!
After a step-son who can cook, a son-in-law who does too.
We definitively are going into catering business.
    The question is … where?
